A short trip to Italy? Thanks to the convenient location of the Hoferwirt during your holiday in the Stubaital, it is only a short drive to Italy via the Brenner Pass. The idyllic town of Sterzing combines Alpine flair with a touch of Italian dolce vita. A short stroll through the town with a visit to a wine bar or one of the Italian boutiques makes a nice change from skiing, winter hiking, cross-country skiing, tobogganing and more. If you still haven't had enough of shopping, we recommend a stop at the Brenner Outlet on the way back.

Just 20 minutes from Neustift im Stubaital, the Tyrolean capital is the perfect destination for a day trip. Innsbruck has twice hosted the Winter Olympics, as evidenced by impressive buildings such as the Bergisel ski jump. But there is also plenty on offer culturally. Visit the Tyrolean State Museum, the Imperial Palace or the Golden Roof. The best view of Innsbruck is from the Nordkette mountain range and the Innsbruck Alpine Zoo with its many alpine animals is a perfect excursion destination for children.

A tête-à-tête with the giant – your holiday in Neustift takes you to Wattens and the Swarovski Crystal Worlds. Be fascinated by the sparkling crystals and the various showpieces by international artists. On the way back to the Stubai Valley, you can also visit the medieval town of Hall. With its coin tower, it is rich in history and strolling through the alleyways here is truly beautiful.

The Stubai is also rich in history. How about a visit to the local history museum in Neustift or the cot museum in Fulpmes? Folk music is a living cultural asset in the Stubai. That's why we regularly organise folk music evenings at the Hoferwirt, where music groups from the Stubai Valley, such as the Stubaier Freitagsmusig, perform here. Traditional events such as the ‘Krippele schaugn’, the ‘Krampus laufen’ or various carnival performances are also simply part of a winter holiday in Neustift.
