You can reach the Stubai Valley in about 20 minutes from the Olympia city Innsbruck via the Brenner motorway (Europe bridge), Exit Schönberg, the first village in the Stubai Valley, carry on to Mieders, Telfes, Fulpmes and Neustift. The other option is to go via the Brenner road to Schönberg without paying toll (about 35 minutes journey time).
It is binding to stick a “Vignette” (road charge) on your windscreen when driving on Austrian motorways. You can buy a “Vignette” at border crossings, petrol stations and your motoring association.
From the Olympic city, Innsbruck take Brenner Highway (Europa Bridge) (about 20 min.), exit at Schönberg (first town in the Stubai Valley); drive through Mieders and pass Telfes and Fulpmes on your way to Neustift. Alternatively take the old Brenner Road (toll-free) from Innsbruck to Schönberg (about 45 minutes), then drive on through the Stubai Valley to the centre of Neustift.
Destination Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof (main railway-station). Bus route F to the Innsbruck main train station (Bus runs every 15 minutes, journey takes 18 minutes), then by bus STB to the Stubai Valley – Bus runs every hour (timetables), journey takes from 20 minutes (Schönberg), 50 minutes (Neustift) and up to 1 h 10 minutes to the Stubai glacier.
