Entering the Hotel you still feel the magic of the age-old "Hofer Inn", the village pub of the old times. Of course we are pleased that today we can offer all the modern conveniences a hotel guest may expect.

However, we are proud of the living history of our Hotel. It is a treasure to preserve but, at the same time, it puts us under an obligation and poses a challenge. During several rounds of reconstruction works it has always been our objective to preserve the special character of our Hotel, and retain the charme of by-gone times.

The thick walls made of granite and the inclined floor of the corridor tell of long-gone days: Of a time when there was no running water or electricity in the house, yet our grandmother kept the restaurant business going with no more than eight (!) spoons.

As the first telephone in the village was installed in our House and - at last - the regular stage-coach took holiday-makers and mountaineers to Neustift.

Talking about the Restaurant: The stove in our kitchen would never burn out. The wide selection of dishes we offer throughout the day is an integral part of Tyrolean hospitality.

Our own farm provides fresh, genuine local supplies. Boost your energy in our ancient "Tschangelair Pasture" with local delicacies, home-made goat's cheese and fresh milk.
